Upcoming Elections

Good Morning-

It is that time of year again. We are looking for a nonimating committee for the upcoming elections in November for new board members.

We need a total of 3 members to sit on the nominating committee. If you are wanting to be on this committee, please email me at Mandilin24@yahoo.com. I know there were a few that were interested in the position. This committee helps to nominate colleagues for the board. May be a student, full, or retiree.

Here is the information directly from our By Laws:

Section 4

Board elections and Election procedures 5 months prior to elections, the Board shall appoint a Nominating Committee.

The Nominating Committee:

-Consists of 3 members, either full, retired or associate, but not a current member of the Board, or a potential candidate for election

-Serves a one year term

-Compiles a slate of candidates and submits to secretary three months prior to elections.

-Presents the slate at election meeting, tabulates votes and announces results. Any member can nominate a candidate to the Nominating Committee, and any member wishing to be a candidate can submit their name as a candidate Board members will be elected by a simple majority of members present at the meeting the elections are held
