The practice is managed by 2 full time providers: MD, ARNP-C (PhD-c) who are credentialed with Dr's Hospital where we manage patients in the Serenity Unit (a voluntary in house psych unit) as well as the medical units. We also provide medical and mental care at a number of local rehab facilities as well as a small number of ALFs. We currently precept medical students from LeCom who want to learn more about geriatric and psychiatric medicine.

Busy urgent/family care setting. Students will experience a variety of chronic and acute care conditions, as well as experience procedures, pediatric care, and women’s health.

Inpatient - Internal Medicine

Bach & Godofsky Infectious Diseases. Management of infections in hospitalized patients, covering every organ (skin, respiratory tract, bloodstream, brain and spinal cord, intestinal tract, genital tract, bone, etc.).

Practice includes inpatient psychiatry and substance abuse and outpatient in a variety of settings.

Post-acute medical facility- a healthcare setting that is designed to support patients who no longer require intensive hospital-level care, but still need medical oversight and rehabilitation to recover fully. This setting provides transitional care, which bridges the gap between hospital discharge and safe return home or to a lower level of care. Multidisciplinary care is provided, including physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), and speech therapy (ST). Nurse practitioners and MDs provide oversight for individualized patient care and goal-oriented recovery, including supportive services such as dietary counseling and case management to assist with discharge planning needs. The goal is to maximize recovery, reduce hospital readmissions, and promote independence.

I am one of two FNP's - and approximately see 25-30 patients per day- of patients who present with a range of conditions. Such as rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation of the brain, heart, and lungs. Care for chronic and complex medical conditions. No pediatrics. My schedule is 7 on/7 off. - If you are an acute care NP student, you will gain experience from radiology reports, trending labs, and ordering transfusions. - If you are a Family Medicine NP, you will learn to trend medication effectiveness, educate patients on secondary and tertiary interventions, manage pain, and offer family-centered care.
